This training has been developed from FEMA P-593, funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The goal of the FEMA P-593 CD, Seismic Rehabilitation Training for One- and Two-Family Wood-Frame Dwellings is to promote seismic rehabilitation of one- and two-family dwellings, identifying common seismic vulnerabilities, and identifying rehabilitation approaches and available guidelines. This version of the training has been modified for use in California, and in particular for use with the International Existing Building Code (IEBC) Chapter A3, as adopted by reference in the CEBC 2010 Edition.
Trainees taking this on-line course are required to complete all sections. A quiz follows each section to gauge the trainee's understanding of the content. Each quiz must be passed at 100% in order to move on to the next section.
